Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone.
My little girls and I are wearing red dresses today, because we can. I am about to go to the grocery store, and I am a LEEETLE bit embarrassed to be wearing a long red gown, but HEY!
Valentine’s day only comes once a year, and the girls are excited about “matching”.
If I had money, I would whisk TH away on a cruise. He needs vast expanses of water and sky to soothe his burdened mind. He knows that I don’t mind at ALL that he doesn’t have money…I don’t need some fancy present to feel loved! but he still worries about it.
I have what I really want from him - his heart. And not just because he says so, but because he trusts me enough to tell me what he really feels, and he always puts me first.
When he was leaving the bedroom this morning to start work, all damp and spicy-smelling after his shower, he leaned to kiss me, saying “I don’t want to leave you.”
And I thought, If Valentine’s day was over right now, I just got what I wanted!
Tonight, we are taking the kids out to dinner. They THINK they are being dropped off at a babysitter’s house while WE go on a date, haha!
They’ll be happily surprised.
Gotta do some more homework now….

Please tell me you didn’t wear house slippers or something similar with the red gown to the grocery.
