I am not sure about this new layout. I mean, it looks great with the photographs, but when it is just typing, will it be lame?

Let’s look at this one and then decide.

Its WEDNESDAY!!! I love Wednesdays, because I have college AND a date with TH AND then more college AND the kids are gone tonight which means a very peaceful evening, usually.

Tonight, poor TH is still out there struggling with his car, and I’m just about to go make him knock off for the night and come eat pasta with me.

I haven’t made it yet, I am just about to.

I love that I totally understood math class today.

I love that I can SEE I am getting better, at my drawings and at my photographs.

I love having lunch with TH!

I love that he said THIS to me over lunch:  “Its totally up to you, but it kinda doesn’t feel right to leave the kids on our weekend with them…I want to have a date for Valentine’s day, but how would you feel about having a date WITH the kids? We could take them out to dinner, and then to Triple Play or something? and then I will take you dancing NEXT weekend, when we don’t have them?”

What sort of man actually WANTS to take the children (which he is not biologically related to) on a date with us????

The kind I was smart enough to pick, that’s what kind. *smiling*

Funny thing - I was sitting just inside the door of LK Hall, waiting for TH to pick me up, and Michelynn strolled up.  She was on her way out and stopped to say hi.

As SHE was standing there talking to me, a guy came up and hit on me!

*laughing* She had texted TH and told him about it before I even got out the door, because when I called him, not TWO MINUTES later, he already knew.

It was funny.  Even if I was not deliciously involved, let us consider the eveidence:

He was very large and also bearded (strike one).

He was wearing a plaid flannel shirt/jacket (strike two, at least!).

His opening line was “What’s your name, by the way?” (Strike three, because you can’t say ‘by the way’ if you have never spoken to the person before; ‘by the way’ implies a continuation of a previous or ongoing conversation).

He then told me I was “absolutely gorgeous” and began to beat around the asking-out bush.  I smiled and very kindly excused myself and beat it around the corner - I will NEVER never be rude or “as if!” ish to anyone, unless they are rude or gross in their pick-up attempt.

I mean, nothing ventured, nothing gained, right?  TH himself was afraid to approach me, when he first saw me in the store where I worked, thinking I most assuredly was involved with someone (which I was, when we first met!), but told himself firmly that he was too old to use fear as an excuse! and called the store from the parking lot, asking to speak to me.

I admire men’s courage, I really do.  It must be scary to usually be the one “approaching”.

All right, I have gotten more philosophical than I intended, and I really want my dinner, so off I go to cook!
